The Disturbing Demise of George Harman
What happens to old men who chase after teenage girls? Well, most of the time it doesn't end well. Such is the disturbing case of George W. Harman, a 66-year-old grocer from Columbia, Lancaster County, who swallowed poison after being rejected by the object of his affection. The following story comes from the November 5, 1902 edition of the Lancaster New Era.
