Italian Worker Beheaded

 

Historic Wanich's Covered Bridge, which crosses Little Fishing Creek just north of Buckhorn in Columbia County, presents a picture of peace and serenity, evoking a sense of old-time charm. But a tragic accident took place near this idyllic spot in the spring of 1903, when a railroad worker lost his head as his own brother watched in horror.
