Death Atop a Limekiln

 

The above excerpt is from the Northumberland Public Press from April 30, 1880, and describes the unfortunate fate of a tramp who fell asleep atop a limekiln. I especially enjoyed the part about the "eyeballs bursted in the sockets". Now that's what I call journalism!
