January 8, 1929: The day the clothes wringers attacked.

The date of January 8, 1929 will live in infamy in Shamokin history as the day the clothes wringers attacked. For on that morning, three individuals (who lived only a few houses away from each other) had to receive medical treatment for injuries sustained from having their arms pulled though a washing apparatus. To make things even more bizarre, all three clothes wringer victims were treated by the same physician!
